For most people, tracking what they eat is exhausting — barcodes that don't match, serving sizes that lie, red numbers that say you've failed. We thought it could be different.
What we believe
Nutrition isn't binary. It's not pass or fail, good or bad, clean or unclean. Real food and real bodies don't fit into rigid categories — and the apps that pretend otherwise tend to do more harm than good.
Lygo is built around three convictions:
- Anti-shame by design. No red numbers, no broken streaks, no guilt spirals. Goals are ranges. Skipped a day? Tomorrow's still here.
- Conversation over data entry. You shouldn't need to be a librarian to log a sandwich. Talk to Lygo like a friend; we'll handle the rest.
- The full nutrient picture, not just calories. Macros are noisy. Vitamins, minerals, fiber, omega-3s — those are where your body actually pays attention.
What we don't believe
We don't believe in hidden subscriptions, dark patterns, or selling your data. We don't believe a single number can capture a meal. We don't believe streaks deserve to be broken when life happens.
Where we are
Lygo is a small, independent team based in California. We're early — building in public, listening to the people who use it, and shipping every week.
